Skin Rejuvenation for Acne

Launch Price €99 (30 minutes)

Treating Acne through skin rejuvenation is all about fighting the bacteria that causes the inflammation and the size of the sebaceous glands. Many people struggle with acne as although they may be using highly active products to treat the skin externally, the bacteria causing acne is active in the deeper layers of their skin. Products alone for someone with a higher grade acne will not be enough to achieve long term results.

Hence, many decide to take antibiotics to treat the bacteria internally and use products and skin treatments to treat the acne externally. Obviously taking antibiotics long term can affect the body in other ways so some people prefer not to take this route and this is where Skin Rejuvenation for Acne is an amazing an unique professional skin treatment that targets the acne bacteria in the skin. Heat from light energy targets the bacteria in the dermis of the skin, ensuring we target acne from its source.

At The Buff Day Spa, we offer a unique Skin Rejuvenation for Acne skin treatment by incorporating the Skin Rejuvenation with a Dermalogica skin treatment. By incorporating the two treatments, our highly trained therapists have the opportunity to treat your skin from the inside and outside, ensuring you receive maximum results from your treatment with us. We advise all our customers to have a consultation with us prior to beginning any Skin Rejuvenation treatments. During this time, your therapist can discuss the treatment with you and advise you on the best course of treatments to give you maximum results! Maximum results in minimum time with no downtime needed!

How does the treatment work?

Almost all acne is linked to an overactive sebaceous gland resulting in excess oil combined with a bacteria present in the skin. The sebaceous gland is next to the hair follicle which contains a pigment. The chemical reaction resulting from IPL light pulses mixing with this pigment kill the acne causing bacteria resulting in a very fast method in clearing acne. Skin Rejuvenation for Acne is one of the fastest ways to target and treat this acne causing bacteria.

How many treatments will I need?

It will depend on the severity of the acne but will probably range from between 4 to 8 treatments.

How often will I have Skin Rejuvenation for Acne treatments?

We would recommend you come every 4 weeks during your course. After you have completed your course most people find they maintain the best results by have a couple of maintenance treatments during the year as you would with any professional skin treatment.

How long does the Skin Rejuvenation for Acne skin treatment take?

It is a 30 minute skin treatment combining skin rejuvenation with a bespoke Dermalogica facial to ensure we are maximising treatment results by treating the skin internally and externally. This is a fantastic treatment that you could do on your lunch break before returning to work or make the most of your time with us by using our spa facilities which are available with every treatment.

Does the treatment hurt?

The intense light is working deep into the skin to trigger a chemical reaction in the deepest layers of the skin so yes there can be some discomfort to be expected with the treatment. Your therapist will guide you through the treatment and consistently ask you how you are feeling throughout so you are in control of the treatment. By far the benefits of this treatment outweigh this as the results it delivers are superb.

Is there anything I should do before starting a course of treatments?

The first step and one of the most important is to have consultation with one of our highly trained skin therapists who can discuss your skin concerns and devise a treatment plan, ensuring to get you the best results possible! If they feel Skin Rejuvenation for Acne is for you, they will complete a patch test which will allow us to check for skin sensitivity but also enable you to experience the sensation from the treatment before you decide to go ahead with a course of treatments.

Post Treatment Care

Your therapist will discuss your own personal aftercare and make personal recommendations as part of your treatment, ensuring to concentrate on improving your skin health long term.
