Why can’t I view The Buff Day Spa’s website properly?

What is a Day Spa?

The word Spa originates from the term “Solus Per Aqua” which literally translates as “Healing through Water”. You should expect to find water-based treatments with water filters and water-based facilities such as a sauna or steam room. In most Day Spas, you will also find a place where you can relax and unwind after your treatment.

What do I need to wear or bring with me?

Just bring yourself! We have everything you need to get ready before and after your service for your convenience.

What are some great gift ideas?

Our Spa Gift Vouchers are a wonderful gift and are redeemable for treatments as well as products. Vouchers are non-refundable.

Can I use my voucher if it is out of date?

We will honour gift vouchers for 2 months after expiry date at any time against treatments only (not products). After this, they can only be used off peak, between 10am and 4pm against treatments only. We cannot extend promotional vouchers.

Please note, all vouchers purchased from December 2019 now have an expiry of 5 years.

Can I use the Sauna if pregnant?

No, it is not recommended to have a heat-based treatment while pregnant.

What should I know prior to waxing?

First of all, a patch test needs to be carried out 48 hours prior to waxing appointment. (If you need waxing urgently and don’t want the patch test, you will have to sign a waiver form at reception). Ensure that the hair needs to be long enough. Hair length will vary depending on the body area but a good rule of thumb is 1/2 cm to 1cm. Guests should never use the Sauna prior to waxing services. Some redness following the service is normal. Do not schedule a body treatment on the same day as a waxing service.

What makes us equipped to say we specialise in Dermalogica, compared to other spas/salons?

We send all of our staff on every single Dermalogica class. We regularly test all members of staff, on each product range, to avoid them getting used to knowing a little bit of information on each product, and forgetting vital ingredients and information. Each and every facial therapist has the maximum amount of information on all there is to know on Dermalogica. And if there is a question we cannot answer for you, we will find out the answer and get back to you!

Do you accept One4All Gift Vouchers from the Post Office?

Yes we accept gift cards from One4All against payment for any treatments or products or spa packages. We cannot accept One4All gift cards for the purchase of our Buff Day Spa Gift Vouchers.

What is the loyalty card scheme, and how does it work?

The loyalty cards are our way of giving something back to our clients. All loyalty points are tracked on our Spa System. Loyalty points cannot be redeemed against any special offer or promotion and is valid against full priced treatments only. For every euro spent on treatments you earn one loyalty point.

Can the loyalty card be used against products?

No, the loyalty card is redeemable against full price treatments only. However, we still give half the value amount of all products that you purchase, even if you are just coming in to purchase a product, without having a treatment!

What can the €10 Newsletter Discount Coupon be used for?

The €10 Newsletter Discount Coupon can be used in the spa after having a full price treatment done. It cannot be used off the purchase of gift vouchers (online or at the spa) or off the purchase of products.

How does the Referral Programme work?

If you like what we do at The Buff Day Spa, why not refer a friend* and earn €10 on your account towards any treatment of choice! To begin earning credit on your account. Once your friend mentions your name when booking and spends over €40, we put €10 on your account for you to spend on any treatment of choice! There is no limit on the credit you can put on your account so tell your friends about The Buff Day Spa and start earning your reward credit now! When your friend comes in they will receive a lovely spa gift too!

*Your referred friends must be new clients to The Buff Day Spa.

What is the cancellation policy?

For individual bookings, there is a 50% cancellation fee if less than 24 hours notice is given.
For groups of 3 or more, there is a 50% cancellation fee with less than 72 hours notice and a 100% cancellation fee with less than 24 hours notice. Once the group booking has been confirmed and payment or deposit has been taken, a 10% administration charge is applied to any cancellation.
