When my sister asked me to her Maid of Honour for her upcoming wedding, the first thing that sprung to mind was her hen party! With 12 of us heading to Dublin for the weekend, I found myself struggling to find a daytime activity for the Saturday that would suit everyone, until a colleague told me about The Buff Day Spa.

After looking at the website, I called the spa to talk to them about availability for the weekend we wanted. The package I chose fit our budget of under €100 per person and allowed us to use the spa facilities too. Thankfully, they were able to get us all in at a time that let us recover a little from a heavy Friday night on the town!

The receptionist told me to confirm the group booking, she needed to take a 25% deposit; something that at first I wasn’t sure I wanted to do, but she ensured me that the deposit would be added straight to my client account to use on the day and that my details were secure on their system.

She told me to make sure that we all arrived 30 minutes before our treatments were due to start to get changed and use the facilities. Of course some of us weren’t on time, it’s the hassle when going with a large group. But we all made it in with enough time to at least get changed and have time for a cup of tea or coffee before we started treatments.

The Massage was 20 minutes long. Just what we all needed after travelling up on the train from Galway the day before. We all then had our mini manicures and mini pedicures in the main area of the spa. This was great as it meant we could all chat and spend time together down there.

When the last manicure was done, we got a gorgeous glass of bubbly each and a goodie bag filled with all the supplies for the night ahead; badges, sashes, even some straws, which gave us a giggle! We were delighted!

For only €90 per person, it was the perfect way to spend a few hours relaxing in the city and getting set for the night ahead!
